Mini Horses/Mini Ponies: Our little mini horses started turning heads when we would take them places as they were just lovable, calm, well mannered and well drop dead cute! We once again started getting asked all the time if we would sell ours! People would come to our neat, clean, friendly petting zoo and be just amazed at how well behaved and super social our little horses were and fall in love. They figurd out that we obviously provided the best petting zoo they had ever seen with clean, adorable, friendly animals that we would also be the place to get the best minis from also! We have had several visitors just got nuts when our little minis would come right up to them, And I always love when we load and unloed our mini as people are always amazed that they just load and unload with ease and walk like champs.. They can see that our minis are happy, healthy and content! Again we only raise a few a year, typically not registered (although we can register babies from some of the moms if clients want to pay the extra fees which add up!) but full pedigrees! We try to focus less on paperwork and more on time and care of our critters! These little guys have great confirmation, personalities and super healthy. Our babies are alway super social, hand tame, halter trained and since we do petting zoos they usually have already been traveling, trailered and love kids.
So what is the differene between a min horse and mini pony?
Well that depends on who you talk to.. Here at Paradise Valley Farms it is simply a way to classify our "larger" minis which are still small but large enough when full grown for small children to ride but with wonderful dispositions as the parents are out our pony ride mini ponies! And they are still adorable small babies that make wonderful pets and companion animals! In the mini horse world these are typically considered class B minis but I personally figured it may make more sense to call them mini ponies as some ponies can get as large as a horse but their has been some debate as to weather I should call them mini ponies as many ponies typically have bad attitudes. All of our stock and babies are wonderful.. so if you are concerned about stubborn or bad attitudes. You do not have to worry about that here.. All of our animals love people and are here to make children and adults happy so in essence our stock through selection has become the best stock as our animals are also "working" animals.. Meaning they have to be really good aroud people in petting zoos and on ponies rides.. Almost by accident I created a gene pool of the most socially well mannered little minis out their!
We also produce occasionally one that would be way to little to allow children on but is typically an AMHR registered mini. (32 inches and under)
