"Wooly-Kune" Breed Pigs

A new breed that comes from crossing small Mangalitsa and KuneKune pigs! We are excited to introduce this new breed! The Wooly-Kune breeding goals include curly fur, small size, flashy colors and spots, wattles and squishy noses! Because it is a new breed, their is variation in the offspring.
A great multipurpose and homestead pig that is gentle, easy to handle, and good on pasture!
The dad is our super sweet small ginger KuneKune boy, mom is a wooly- mini- kune cross.
The babies look like kunekunes but will get curly coats as they grow!

Kunekunes
Kunekune pigs are a wonderful type of pig originally found in New Zealand. These pigs are known for their laid back and friendly personality. Though the can get between 100-250 pounds, these pigs are still considered miniature compared to some of their larger cousins. Males generally get between 200-240 lbs at about 30 inches tall and females range between 120-200 lbs and are about 24 inches tall. |

Mangalitsa
The Woolly Sheep-Pig. Directly descended from the wild boar, and also spelled alternatively the Mangalitza or Mangalica, the Mangalitsa is a rare breed of pig. Unlike other pigs, the Mangalitsa grows a hairy "fleece" that has drawn comparisons to that of sheep. |

Adoption Fees: $100-$400. Price is determined after Evaluation Period. If we are able to see parents and have an idea of genetics, that will play a part in price.
